It is true that attitudes towards dogs have changed – less often restricted to the backyard, our dogs are regularly invited into the home, and are very much equal members of our families. Our expectations for the care of our dogs have changed too. In most cases the traditional style of boarding kennel from 20 years ago has been overtaken by a much higher, and more comprehensive standard of care.
When researching your next holiday allow time to investigate the boarding options available to you. Arrange an inspection of any boarding kennel you are interested in to meet the people that will care for your dog and see the accommodation they’ll stay in.
Most importantly ask yourself, are the guests stimulated and engaged? And are they comfortable with the staff around them?
