Out & About in Winter

Out & About in Winter

The cold weather can make it hard to get out-and-about, but there are plenty of dog-friendly activities this Winter to get you moving –

You might consider a day trip to the Yarra Valley, and you’ll find plenty of great places to explore on the Visit Yarra Valley website. You’ll even find dog-friendly accommodation, from caravan parks to farmstays, so you can make a weekend of it!

A trip into Melbourne is another fun option, and you might be surprised by the number of pooch-places you can find, including the Dog House Cafe in Collingwood, or Grazeland in Spotswood – check more out on the Visit Melbourne website. (FYI – at the Dog House Cafe you can book an enclosed booth just for you and your dog, or even a puppy birthday party).

And the Dorsett Hotel in Little Lonsdale Street offers dog-friendly hotel rooms complete with Orthopaedic foam bed, treats and gourmet meals available to order!

Or if you’d prefer a humans-only activity indoors, the Top Dog Film Festival takes place at the Astor Theatre in St Kilda on August 27th – ‘The 2024 Top Dog Film Festival presents a 2+ hour cinematic celebration honouring the bond between dogs and their people. Filled with delightfully doggy moments of joy and celebration of our beloved canine companions.’
